Have you thought about
starting your own eZine?
Here are some good reasons why
you should.
And some of the downside.
The Downside.
As with everything else, there is
a down side to running your own eZine.
1) What is it going to be about?
This
question is harder than it looks. What are your interests? Can you find enough
content to be included in every issue?
2) Can you afford the time?
Don't
forget every issue will take time to put together. You will also have to send it on time
every day, week, month or whenever. For a long time.
3) I have enough trouble getting
people to my site. How am I going to get people to subscribe? That
one is easy. You place your eZine in eZine directories and sign up to eZine
co-ops such as the 10Dollars20Ads.com

4) Hassle. eZine
publishing does involve a lot of hassle at times. But the rewards, often small,
makes up for the hassle you get.

As you will see there are a lot
more reasons why you should start an eZine
than why you shouldn't.
1) It allows you to publish your
own programs. The number one reason most
people start an eZine is to publish their own get rich programs. Most of the
time, the editor uses their own programs as the eZine signature or include them
in their editorials.
2) It keeps you in regular
contact with people of similar interests.
If you run your own eZine it keeps your subscribers coming
back to your site. therefore more sales.
You use your eZine to promote your site and you site to promote your eZine.
3) People trust you. Not
immediately of course, but over time. Providing you pass on good and reliable
information, your subscriber base will start to trust
you. Eventually joining your programs just because they know they can trust you.
4) It doesn't take that much
time. We have listed in our members area,
sites that give away FREE content and articles ( providing you don't change
anything ). In many cases all you do is cut and paste the article. Giving you instant
content.
5) Advertising revenue. After
a while, when your subscriber base is large enough, you can start charging
people to advertise in your eZine. Again we can supply you with the knowledge of
how to start you own affiliate program and collect revenues. Remember
you can charge what ever you like for an Ad. Most eZines charge a minimum of $5
for a normal Ad. $8 for a bottom Ad, $10 for a middle ad, $15 for a top ad, and
$20 for a solo Ad.
6) Satisfaction. 99%
of the time we get very little satisfaction in our jobs. Believe me it's great
when people ask you for advice. And look on you as a professional. WHY?
because you run your own eZine and therefore know what you are doing. I get on
average 4 -5 e mails a day from people asking questions on how to promote sites.
In most cases we get a big thank you, and a loyal subscriber.
7) Builds relationships. This
applies to most of the above. If you publish often enough, you members will get
to know you.
8) Your Own opt in Safe list.
Yes
people will willingly subscribe to your eZine and only you can send the
subscribers mail. An eZine is your own
personal opt in mailing list. that no one
else can write to.
9) You decide what you are going
to write about. One day it might be about
this great new program you have come across. So you write
your own article on it. I did say article
not Ad. There is a big difference. Most
people read Articles.
10) It can be great fun. When
you start getting the feedback e mails. Some of the comments can be great fun
and lift your heart to new heights.
