it won't improve matters if your disk is full of unused remnants
of previously uninstalled applications. Space Odyssey fixes this
problem by scanning your hard drive for error-producing files;
when it finds one, it can then clean it from your system for you.
Files detected include temporary files created by your operating
system and applications, the Internet Explorer and Netscape
Navigator cache, and duplicate files. You can then move, delete,
or zip detected files. A log report records all of your
move/compress/delete actions, so your files can be recovered if

E-mail Error
It's wise to remember how easily e-mail can be misused, sometimes
unintentionally, with serious consequences. Consider the case of
the Illinois man who left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for
a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was
planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his
hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick e-mail.
Unfortunately, when typing her address, he missed one letter, and
his note was directed instead to an elderly woman whose husband
had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow
checked her e-mail, she took one look at the monitor, let out a
piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint.
At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note
on the screen:
Dearest Wife, Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your
arrival tomorrow.

There are SO many affiliate and business opportunity sites
out there--how does a hardworking Netrepreneur wannabe
decide?! After years of studious observation, expensive
experimentation, and temper tantrums, I've distilled the
wisdom of the cyber age to 10 little-known tidbits (as if
you didn't know!). These insights are just too outrageous
NOT to be true--but don't read this if you suffer from a
heart condition or perpetual cynicism. You (hopefully)
may never look at a bizopp in the same way again!
10. The big guys selling you their program already have
succeeded--get over it, then press on toward your own path.
9. Their ploy is to make success look easy for you--but
remember: those heavy hitters AREN'T working from scratch,
or even from a small startup (which most likely describes
your situation)--after all, YOU are the one looking at their
material, not vice versa. These people already have a
MASSIVE contact base. Your success is NOT based on
choosing to buy into their program (see tip #2); YOUR
success is based on YOUR own patient work to build YOUR own
massive contact base (bonus secret: NOBODY builds somebody
else's downline for them--see #8). So, you can either give
up now OR you can delete the word "quit" from your
vocabulary and press on!
8. What you see is rarely what you get--reading the fine
print helps. But, like buying stocks, you should only
invest as much time, money, and talent as you're willing
to lose.
7. Whatever you do...remember that almost EVERYthing you
read or hear is an attempt to sell you something. The ad
copy may sound chummy, or authoritative, even helpful--but
the object of the game is for YOU to willingly part with
some YOUR cash!
6. Ebooks, services, site-access is only worth what you can
get for it (no matter HOW much you SAY what the value of the
thing is). I could go around saying that my house is worth
half a million--and it may be valued at that--but if I want
to sell it, and after searching the planet for a buyer all I
get is an offer for a quarter million, my house is really
worth half as much as I said. So if someone is GIVING AWAY
something valued at $97, what's it really worth? HOWEVER,
just because the thing is FREE, it doesn't mean the product
or service is USELESS, though--the key to a car is WORTH
very little, but it IS very useful....
5. Organized action beats the heck out of disorganized
action. Be HUGE, be DARING, but be DELIBERATE--if you don't
know where you're going or aren't keeping track of how
you're getting there, you will only arrive by accident
(if at all)!
4. If you're selling something as an affiliate and you don't
use it yourself, then you are either too busy/disorganized
or you're being a me-too, online marketing wanna be. Stop it.
3. There are NO such things as marketing "Secrets" or some
previously unknown thing that someone discovered or learned
and is now ready to reveal all; they're just selling you
marketing techniques that perhaps YOU may not yet know.
Or they may be new and they may be useful techniques TO YOU,
but they certainly ain't guarded secrets. Remember tip #7.
2. There are bizopps out there that look great, but they're
not; others look lousy, and they are; still others look
great and they are; and there are even those that look
lousy, but they're not. And there aren't two souls on the
planet that will agree about WHICH ARE WHICH! Sometimes you
just gotta hang it out there until you either see your
success or admit that you got spanked. But only after you
read and heed #5.
1. You'll have MUCH more fun (or at least get some satisfac-
tion) by focusing on becoming SUCCESSFUL instead of trying
to get rich. If you can tell the difference, you're half
way there and probably enjoying it!

Look For Your Niche Market In Places You Wouldn't Expect

Anyone who has ever succeeded in doing business on the Internet
has discovered the importance of finding their niche market.
Finding your niche market means discovering which product or
service to sell, and then locating the people that are interested
in buying it. While finding your niche may be difficult at
first, once you've found it and established a loyal base of
customers, you're definitely on your way to success.
Much of the difficulty in finding your niche market comes from
trying to find a niche that isn't already flooded with
competitors. They key is to find an area that has customers ready
to be served, who aren't already being served by hundreds of
others.
You may think that you have to offer run-of-the-mill products to
attract a decent number of customers, but that's not really true.
Each person is different from the next, and each has his or her
own specific needs and interests. If you can find a need or
interest that lots of people share, no matter how strange it
seems, you can find your niche.
As I'm sure you're aware, there are dozens of Internet stores out
there offering general merchandise, gifts, etc. Most of these
stores offer good products at decent prices, sure, but they're
all over the place. There are simply too many of them for a
small company just starting out to find a real niche. To be
successful, you have to be different enough that a ton of other
people aren't selling the same thing, but "normal" enough to find
a relatively broad customer base.
For example, when I started my mask retailing site, I had done
enough homework to know that there was a market for a site that
sold masks, and masks only. Now, I'm not just talking about your
typical Halloween and kids' masks. I offer those, too, but I
also offer everything from dust and gas masks to decorative,
collector, African, sports, feather, butterfly, animal, and even
Indonesian masks. From my research, I knew there were surprising
numbers of people out there that collect masks, and even bigger
numbers of people who love owning a few just for kicks. I
started out with a limited selection, but with demand my site has
grown to offer over 450 different masks, both wearable and
decorative.
This may seem like a very specific niche, and perhaps it is.
However, even if you fill a very specific need, you can still be
successful, as long as there are plenty of people with that
common interest. Do some research, browse the net, and see if
you can't carve out a niche for yourself.

Getting From Burned-Out to Pumped-Up

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were always motivated and always
rarin' to go? We could sit down at our desks every day and just
crank out the work, happy to do it, loving every minute, and
sorry to quit at the end of the day.
In a perfect world, maybe, but this isn't a perfect world. We get
tired, both physically and mentally. We get cranky. We get bored
with doing the same things day in and day out, sometimes to the
point that the brain just doesn't function at top capacity; in
fact, it may stop functioning altogether! When you are trying to
work but can only manage a blank stare at the wall, it's time to
do something about it.
But what? Staying enthused about your business all the time is
difficult at best; when you are burned out, what can you do to
get excited again?
You may be surprised at my answer, but here it is: get excited
about something else. That's right! To get excited about your
business, get excited about something else.
I'm talking about hobbies. I'm talking about passions. I'm
talking about any outside interest that you love to think about
and to talk about.
What do you love to do? Let's say, for example, you are
interested in baseball. I don't want to hear that you like going
to baseball games; I want to hear that you LOVE baseball... that
you can name the champions of each league for the last 10 years,
who played first base for the 1982 Giants, who won each of the
last 20 World Series and in how many games, etc. That's what I'm
talking about; something that lights a fire in your belly,
something that you are passionate about, something that touches
your soul.
Whatever it is that you love to do, start doing it! Do you think
it will cost too much? Baloney! You can find a wealth of
information on the Internet and it won't cost you a dime. If you
truly love the subject, you'll enjoy reading about it online.
Or, you can probably find a magazine about your interest; if you
can't or won't spend the price of a magazine, you are in deep
trouble indeed!
Do you think it will take too much time? Balderdash! The
excitement it generates will result in higher efficiency and
you'll find that you have the time after all. Turn off the
darned TV; you'll discover lots of time! Besides, we always find
time for the things that are truly important to us.
If you feel that it will take time away from your family, then
figure out a way to get them involved so they can participate in
your passions with you. What a rush it would be to not only
pursue your passions but to share them with your loved ones! I
have a good friend whose passion is stock car racing; his family
helps him work on his car and cheers him on from the stands!
The net result will be a new bounce in your step, a fresh smile
on your face, and new excitement and enthusiasm for everything in
your life, including your work.
Sometimes I don't feel like doing what I have to do, so I pull
out a NASA eclipse bulletin, which has facts and figures on the
next total eclipse of the sun. It only takes a few minutes of
thumbing through that baby and I'm motivated and ready to get

Why don't horses get tired of standing up?
The legs of horses are designed so that they can stand up for
very long times without using their muscles. They can even
sleep standing up!
Human legs (and the legs of most other mammals) are designed
so that the weight is supported partly by bones and partly by
muscles. If we let our leg muscles relax, we fall down!
The bones, muscles, and tendons of horse's legs are arranged
so that the stress of supporting the animal is not on the
muscles. Instead, the leg is supported by the bones and
tendons. This is especially important for heavy-bodied
horses and their relatives, whose legs might need to support
as much as 500 pounds each.
